Aran jumpers are so called after the Aran islands on the West coast of Ireland where the pattern originates from (rather than the Scottish Isle of Arran with two 'r's).
This is a fairly loose knit Aran jumper, perfect to wear over a long sleeved shirt. The current stock's Aran pattern is as the model photos rather than the white background images.
